Ivory wool sheepskin rug - one and a half 1.5 skins

A longer looking single (1.5 skin) natural off-white sheepskin rug - 60cm x 130cm IN STOCK

One and a half sized natural creamy ivory sheepskin & lambskin wool rugs made in New Zealand

Sheepskin average dimensions 60cm x 130cm. Natural Longwool sheepskin rugs are soft and fluffy. This wool rug is made from one and a half New Zealand sheepskins so is perfect for an armchair. You can see the joins from the back and the tail end is straight across like a single sheepskin rug (a double has rounded shape on both ends).

These sheepskin rugs are perfect as a soft throw over a wire frame chair or armchair.

Although these rugs are predominantly used on the floor as luxurious floor coverings, they can also be used as a sofa throw, on beds, or draped over any type of seat including ottomans.

Your carefully selected sheepskin may have been tightly packaged for the journey home and so the wool may appear flattened. Wool fibers are very resilient and will bounce back to their original springy appearance. A vigorous shake will help restore the soft, fluffy appearance of the wool or brush with a wool carding brush. Any fold marks from packaging will disappear once the skin has been removed from the package for several days.

Other sizes also available in this colour

Machine or hand wash your sheepskin in warm water (38°C/100°F) using a Woolskin Sheepskin Wash. Spin to remove excess water. Colours should be professionally dry-cleaned only. North America customers - We recommend the use of our Woolskin wool wash. Please only use detergents which are non-alkaline, non-iconic and do not contain biological enzymes: Do not use Woolite or laundry detergents such as Tide.

Dry your Sheepskin flat and stretch to shape while damp. Keep away from direct sunlight and artificial heat. You can tumble dry your Sheepskin on a LOW heat setting. Take care not to place the Sheepskin on a radiator, steam pipe or in front of a fan heater as this may damage the Sheepskin. Do not iron or bleach the Sheepskin.

After washing, the wool may revert back to its natural curly state. You can help restore the fluffy appearance by brushing the wool while it is wet and again when it is dry. A fine wire brush or sheepskin carding brush.
