A longer looking single (1.5 skin) dyed White Grey tipped sheepskin rug - 60cm x 130cm ONE IN STOCK
US$160.61

One and a half skins White Grey tipped sheepskin & lambskin wool rugs made in New Zealand.

We do our best to match two sheepskin rugs but you will always see a faint join line where the wool meets.

This colour is a natural white sheepskin with charcoal grey dyed tips - protect from bright or direct sunlight. Each sheepskin is unique and the amount of grey can vary from light and subtle to dark and strong. If you have a preference please let us know.

Average dimensions 60cm x 130cm. Natural Longwool sheepskin rugs are soft and fluffy. This rug is made from one and a half New Zealand sheepskins so is perfect for an armchair. You can see the joins from the back and the tail end is straight across like a single (a double has rounded shape on both ends).

They are perfect as a soft throw over a chair or sofa, or at the end of a bed. And you can also display them on an ottoman. And they can also be used in a hallway or in front of a fireplace to great effect.

Grey sheepskin rug

Your carefully selected Sheepskin may have been tightly packaged for the journey home and so the wool may appear flattened. Wool fibers are very resilient and will bounce back to their original springy appearance. A vigorous shake will help restore the soft, fluffy appearance of the wool. Any fold marks from packaging will disappear once the skin has been removed from the package for several days.

Washing
Machine or hand wash your sheepskin in warm water (38°C/100°F) using a mild liquid detergent. Spin to remove excess water. Colours should be professionally dry-cleaned only. North America customers - We recommend the use of our Woolskin wool wash. Please only use detergents which are non-alkaline, non-iconic and do not contain biological enzymes: Do not use Woolite or laundry detergents such as Tide.

Drying
Dry your Sheepskin flat or on a line and stretch to shape while damp. Keep away from direct sunlight and artificial heat. You can tumble dry your Sheepskin on a low heat setting. Take care not to place the Sheepskin on a radiator, steam pipe or in front of a fan heater as this may damage the Sheepskin. Do not iron or bleach the Sheepskin.

Brushing
After washing, the wool may revert back to its natural curly state. You can help restore the fluffy appearance by brushing the wool while it is wet and again when it is dry. A fine wire brush or sheepskin carding brush.
